Biologic dentistry, also known as holistic dentistry, is an approach that treats the patient as a whole system and emphasizes the impact dental infections and toxins can have on the patient’s overall health. Biologic dentists focus on the use of non-toxic restorative materials, and how oral health can affect the entire body.
Ozone dental therapy is a holistic treatment that significantly reduces the presence of oral bacteria. This is a minimally invasive alternative that fights off the advance of tooth decay and gum disease, and is also helpful with tooth sensitivity. With ozone dental therapy, the damaging bacteria that break down tooth enamel, leading to decay, are eradicated by altering the oral environment.
Snoring is not just a nuisance; it is a serious health risk. Cardiovascular disease is the number two cause of death in America and patients who suffer from snoring and sleep apnea have a higher incidence of heart attacks and strokes due to high blood pressure as a result of lack of oxygen.
FASTBRACES® Technologies, a true American original now in almost 50 countries, is celebrating its quarter-of-a-century anniversary of providing products that help dentists and orthodontists straighten teeth. FASTBRACES® Technologies high performance bracket systems upright the roots of the teeth from the beginning of treatment with just one square wire by torquing and tipping them from the very first appointment.
Invisalign® uses a series of invisible, removable and comfortable aligners that no one can tell you’re wearing. You can smile more during treatment and after. Invisalign® is made with 3D computer imaging technology and has been proven as effective as traditional metal dental braces.
Invisalign Teen® gives you a whole new way to achieve a “clearly” amazing smile – without the embarrassment of “metal mouth”! With Invisalign Teen®, you won’t have to turn down a date or miss out on the yearbook pictures.
You should have a standard cleaning at least twice a year. A periodontal treatment includes an Adult Prophy (basic cleaning). If it has been over a year since your last cleaning, possible treatment will include either Periodontal Scaling (deeper) or Root Planning and Scaling (requires anesthetic).
We will work with an implant specialist to create an implant for a missing single tooth, missing multiple teeth, or replace a removable appliance. Implants are synthetic structures that are placed in the area of the tooth normally occupied by the root. Implants are anchored to the jawbone or metal framework on the bone and act as a foundation for an artificial tooth or permanent bridge.
You can have a new smile with all-porcelain crowns (empressed material) on the anterior teeth. For the posterior, we use porcelain fused to metal. Dental veneers are thin custom-designed shells made from porcelain that are bonded to the front surface of your teeth to change the color, size and shape of your smile. Veneers are designed to look just like real teeth and also boast a resilience that is similar to natural tooth enamel.
Initial Oral Examination
Your initial oral examination includes a visual examination, charting, periodontal probing, diagnosis and treatment recommendations and oral cancer screening. We will also take x-rays, which includes the panoramic x-ray for proper diagnosis of the anterior (front) and posterior (back) teeth as well as the bite-wing x-ray series for proper diagnosis of proximal decay of posterior teeth.
Whether you are an athlete or casual sports participant, you should wear a mouth guard to protect your teeth. If you grind your teeth while you sleep, a bite guard will help reduce symptoms of TMJ. We custom make mouth guards in both soft and hard materials.
A root canal removes bacteria from inside a tooth’s root to eliminate infection. This treatment can save a badly damaged or infected tooth so you don’t have to extract it. With today’s advancements in local anesthetics, most people have little if any pain with a root canal.
Removable Dental Prosthesis
For missing teeth, we can make dentures or removable partials for you.
